Per the latest executive order by Governor Abbott, gyms may re-open later this month at 25% of normal capacity. The gym at the Wellington HOA will re-open on Tuesday, May 19, with the equipment spaced six feet apart. Maximum occupancy requirements will be in place as well as cleaning guidelines. The Wellington HOA pools will re-open once the Town of Flower Mound permits it. The current town opening for the CAC pool is June 1. Also per the Town of Flower Mound's timeline, playgrounds are scheduled to re-open on May 18. The basketball court at the Wellington HOA will also reopen on May 18. State of Texas requirements for outdoor social distancing will still be in effect. New resident orientations will also resume on Tuesday, May 19, by appointment only. We will be sending out another email with available appointment dates and times as we get nearer to the opening date.

Neighborhood Wide Garage Sale Cancelled
The neighborhood garage sale scheduled for June 5-6 has been cancelled. Residents wishing to dispose of unwanted items may want to explore hosting their own individual garage sale or consider donating to local organizations.
Even though some of the amenities of Wellington have been closed per State of Texas order, the staff and HOA contractors are still at work maintaining and enhancing the property, processing the multitude of requests that continue to come in daily and planning for the eventual re-opening of the facilities.
Peters Colony Roundabout Construction
The Town of Flower Mound has been staging traffic control signage around the vicinity of the Peters Colony Road, Quail Run Road and Auburn Drive intersection. Sections of these roadways are closed to traffic until the town completes installation of a new roundabout.
With the increased number of dog walkers please remember: Article II Section 6 of the Town of Flower Mound Ordinances requires pet owners to keep their dog leashed in public and to dispose of excrement properly. In 2019, the Town recorded 120 dog bites.
